In honour of Mental Health Month this month on Tumblr,
I wanted to share with you guys a helpful site and few techniques to help manage your mental health.I feel that it’s important to discuss this because I share on here a lot about positivity and progress but that can only work or happen when your mental health is in check. I myself have struggled with my mental health and general mindset in the past and even now at times due to my life experiences and etc. It’s something I constantly seeing myself working at because it’s just so important.
For independent self help I highly recommend ;
-Journalling! (you don’t know how many times it has been a saver!, if you’re stuck on how to start simply dm me!)
-Dancing, when you feel yourself sinking into a rut, get up and play some nice music to move to
-Listen to positive podcasts (I have a recommended list on my most recent posts, scroll down)
-Going on walks
-Give yourself a chill out day e.g indoors in baggy clothes having a nice meal, bath or book/tv show/film binge (whatever suits you)
-Saying or listening to affirmations (I have a ton on this account)
-Writing 3 things or more that you are currently grateful forFor non independent self help I highly recommend ;
-Talking to a friend or family member
-Speaking to your doctor and applying for therapy or counselling
